Goalscoring legend John Aldridge will be guest speaker at a Nantwich Town fund-raising sports dinner in March.
The former Liverpool, Tranmere Rovers and Northern Ireland striker will be the headliner at the event on Thursday March 23.
Aldridge was a prolific goalscorer, averaging one goal every two games during his 673 league game career.
He is best known for his time at Liverpool, where he scored 50 goals in 83 games.
He then went on to Tranmere Rovers and scored 138 goals in 243 games.
And he ended his career with 422 goals, including 330 in the football league, which ranks him 6th on the list of all time goalscorers.
Aldridge is an active after-dinner speaker and regularly contributes interviews and articles to the media.
He was a finalist for the ‘Soccer Speaker of the Year Award’ in 2016 thanks to his exploits over a 20-year playing career.
The event at Weaver Stadium will also feature comedian Les Gibson.
He rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2011, reaching the finals.
There will also be a three-course meal.
“These events usually sell out fast, so we would advise fans to book early, so as to avoid disappointment,” said a club spokesman.
Tickets are £39.95 and there are only a limited number available.
