Former Nantwich Town star Josh Gordon is being touted as the new Jamie Vardy after signing for Leicester City.
Gordon, 22, left the Weaver Stadium to join Stafford Rangers earlier this season.
Now he has sealed a dream move to the Premier League, announcing it on his Facebook page earlier today (April 7).
Gordon, a former Stoke City player, will go into Leicester’s under-23 squad for the rest of this season.
The Staffordshire University graduate announced on social media: “I am delighted to finally announce that I have officially signed for Premier League champions Leicester City!
“I am looking forward to beginning this new chapter of my life, the hard work starts now.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all the players, staff and fans at Stafford Rangers for my time at the club.
“I’ve enjoyed every second at the club and learned and experienced a lot.
“I wish everyone involved at the club the very best for the rest of the season and future. Thank you.”
Gordon’s first appearance for the Foxes could be against Manchester United on Monday night at the King Power Stadium.
