Showtime - Crewe Lyceum Theatre, to stage a wedding fayre, and summer events

The timeless children’s tale “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt” which has been adapted for stage, plays at Crewe Lyceum later this month.

It arrives in South Cheshire on April 24-25 after its smash-hit West End and international tours.

The production features music, laughter, songs, rhythms, rhymes with puppetry, paints, water and mud – not to mention a bear!

Sally Cookson’s production is set to Benji Bower’s quirky musical score.

It is a mischievous celebration using everyday objects and materials, to capture the imagination and catapult young audiences into the world of Michael Rosen and illustrator Helen Oxenbury’s picture book.

Michael said: “This production of We’re Going On A Bear Hunt takes everyone on the journey – not under, not over, oh no – through it! – in a funny, exuberant and loving way.

“It’s a show full of laughter, music, silliness and thrills that I promise you will excite and delight all young children.

“This is a must-go show.”

“We’re Going On A Bear Hunt” is presented by Kenny Wax Family Entertainment and created by a production team including Cookson, Katie Sykes, Benji Bower, Tony Simpson, Jason Barnes and Marc Parrett.

The cast includes Joseph Carey, Michael Jean-Marain and Rebecca Newman.

The show is for children aged 3+ and families.

Book tickets now for the showings on Monday April 24 at 1.30pm and Tuesday April 25 at 10.30am and 1.30pm via the Box Office or online at crewelyceum.co.uk
