A scout group near Nantwich has urgently appealed for helpers for its beavers and cubs group which is facing closure.
Parents of youngsters at the 9th South West Cheshire Wrenbury group issued the appeal after the executive committee stepped down.
The group has also lost most of the supporting scouting leaders, assistant leaders and section assistants, according to parents.
In a post on Facebook (pictured) they issued a plea for helpers to come forward.
“We have a lovely group of 6-8 year old boys and girls who meet Tuesdays, and we cover a programme set out by the Scout Association.
“We are currently looking for adult volunteers who enjoy working with children to volunteer and support our team.
“Maybe you have administration skills, craft skills, an interest in the outdoors and camping.
“So I’m asking for people local to Wrenbury is there anyone who would like to help. We need your support.”
One of the parents Claire Bailey said: “My eldest daughter is a young leader with the group and I am currently signing up to be an assistant to enable the group to carry on in September.
“Unfortunately some of the current leaders and committee members, have personal reasons for leaving and can no longer dedicate their time to the group.”
The group meets at St Margaret’s Church Hall on Cholmondeley Road, Wrenbury.
