Nantwich Town produced a stunning first half display to blow Hyde United away in their league clash.
The Dabbers scored four unanswered goals in the first period to end the contest.
And they were able to ease off the gas in the second half, coasting to a 4-0 victory which moves them to sixth place in BetVictor Northern Premier League.
The game started in incredible fashion with a debut goal for Ethon Varian in just 15 seconds!
Supporters and coaches were still taking their seats when the ball was played through and Varian fired home.
Hyde had early attacks of their own once they had cleared their heads.
Mwasile caused the visitors’ defence problems with his powerful surges, and on 23 minutes Nantwich were 2-0 ahead.
They won a corner which was floated over, Hyde failed to clear it and the ball dropped to Troy Bourne who had a simple tap in.
The Dabbers continued to post threats from set pieces, and 10 minutes later they went three up.
Varian broke the Hyde offside trap, and took the ball around Mewitt in the Hyde goal easily before rolling it in to an empty net.
Goalscorer Bourne was booked soon after when a scuffle between him and Hyde captain Tom Pratt broke out.
But on 37 minutes the game was over as Nantwich added a fourth goal.
David Webb squeezed the ball over the line after Mwasile played it across, with the referee taking a few moments to decide it had crossed the line.
Varian went close to a hat-trick after the break when his fierce shot was deflected for a corner on 56 minutes.
Cooke, Webb and Devine all had chances to increase the lead as Nantwich continued to dominate the play.
Callum Saunders had a header well saved by Merritt who tipped it over the bar on 80 minutes.
The hosts saw the game out comfortably as Nantwich move to within two points of the play-off places on 38 points from 23 games.
