A man found with stab wounds after an incident on Wistaston Road in Crewe, has died. Police cordoned off the busy street after reports of a stabbing incident, and found a 26-year-old with serious wounds.

Fire chiefs are probing a blaze which ripped through the roof of a house in Barbridge, Nantwich. Two crews from Nantwich were called to the fire on Old Chester Road, Barbridge, where they found the blaze in the roof space of a detached house.
