Nantwich patients are to benefit from new bowel cancer equipment, thanks to a donation to Leighton Hospital. Dane Lodge in Middlewich has raised money for the hospital after members benefitted from treatment there.

A remembrance service will be taking place in South Cheshire in November to celebrate the lives of children and babies. A patient in Leighton Hospital who was suspected of suffering from leptospirosis does not have the deadly infection, tests have shown. The patient was in intensive care displaying symptoms of the condition, also known as Weil’s Disease, which is caught in rivers and canals infected by rat urine.
Exclusive Doctors are probing a suspected human case of the potentially deadly disease leptospirosis, thought to have been contracted in the River Weaver in Nantwich. It’s believed a patient in intensive care at Leighton Hospital has displayed symptoms of the condition, also known as Weil’s Disease.
