Nantwich families are being urged to join in South Cheshire’s first “Big Day Out” at the Dorfold Park Showground next month.
The event takes place on Saturday August 2 – just three days after the Nantwich Show is held at the same venue off Welsh Row.
Organisers of the Nantwich Show are staging a briefing event for any one who wants to volunteer at this year’s event.
The annual show, one of the biggest events in Nantwich’s calendar, takes place at the Dorfold Park showground near Acton on July 30
A commemorative concert for fallen heroes of South Cheshire is to be held 100 years after the start of the First World War.
Called “Crewe Reflects – a Commemorative Concert”, it includes a premiere of new work combining original music, film and writing.

Hundreds of families are expected at this weekend’s Wistaston Village Fete, which takes place on Saturday June 21. The fete will begin with a procession which will leave Wistaston Memorial Hall at 1.30pm.
Reaseheath College in Nantwich scooped a top award for its action-packed exhibition at this week’s Cheshire Show. The college won “Best Outside Education Stand” during the show which pulled in tens of thousands of visitors.
