Nantwich Players’ Summer production is the delightfully funny Ladies Day, written by Amanda Whittingham and directed by Clare Hoy and Garth Jones.
Set in 2005 when Royal Ascot was staged at York, Ladies Day tells the story of four factory work colleagues and how a day at the races changes their lives forever.

Hundreds of people turned out to pay their respects on Armed Forces Day in South Cheshire.
The event took place at Queens Park in Crewe and included a march from the Clock Tower to the Boer War Memorial in the park.

A concert which united choirs and bands at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich has helped raise vital funds for the Mayor’s chosen charities.
Groups including Simply Allsorts and Simple Harmony Choirs, together with Singcopation, and a cappella group, reunited for the Encore Concert, with Cheshire Constabulary Brass Band and Drum Corps.
The spectacular Rhythm of the Dance show is to be staged for one night at Crewe Lyceum Theatre next month as part of the production’s UK tour.
The two-hour show is a dance and music celebration of Irish culture which was created in 1999 and inspired by the epic journey of the Irish Celts throughout history.

The Pillory Street outlet will be including the event as part of its monthly Coffee Morning on Friday June 29.

Rich with its own history and legends, the Crewe Lyceum theatre was the perfect setting for Dan Snow on his new tour ‘An Evening with The History Guy’.
The show was a celebration of history and throughout Dan chatted to the audience about his career, experiences, his love of history and why it matters so much.
An exhibition called “Nantwich Buildings” by local artist Simon Bowler is now open at Nantwich Museum.
His artwork looks at buildings and architecture of some Nantwich streets as well as other nearby locations familiar as places of work and leisure.
