Nantwich Town manager Dave Cooke said his team “did the basics right and looked a much better team all round” as his side halted their losing streak by drawing 0-0 away at Mickleover.

The Dabbers had lost five out of six games going into last night’s (September 14) fixture.

Car parking charges look set to be introduced in Middlewich, Sandbach, Alsager and other Cheshire East towns which are free at the moment.

Sunday charging is also on the cards, with Cheshire East planning to introduce a flat £1 rate for stays longer than an hour across all council-owned paying car parks in the borough on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Cheshire East is to reconsider its borough-wide cemetery strategy after claims the plans are “at best thoughtless and at worst inhumane”.

I have written to Nantwich News several times in recent years about my genuine fear roads in the village of Wistaston will become an accident blackspot due to the associated rise in traffic of several hundred occupants vehicles, due to two new, large housing estates: Wistaston Brook and Kingfisher Reach.
