A man was airlifted to hospital after his car ploughed into a tree on a country road at Chorley, near Nantwich.
The incident happened on Nantwich Road near Wrenbury. Police, air ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.

They say the incident at around 5am was caused by a log burner at the property on Chorley Hall Lane.
