At our first attempt to stand for Parliament we were able to beat two long-established national parties.

Labour have overturned an 8,000+ majority to win back the Crewe & Nantwich seat in the 2024 general election.
In a result mirrored across the UK, Crewe & Nantwich returned to RED as Connor Naismith easily beat off competition from Tory candidate Ben Fletcher.

A General Election hustings for Crewe & Nantwich constituency took place inside St Mary’s Church in Nantwich last night.
The traditional hustings was chaired by Paul Boniface, who welcomed the audience and introduced the candidates by name and party.
Cheshire East residents are being urged to prepare ahead of the UK General Election on Thursday July 4.
Polling cards are now being delivered to registered electors who are eligible to vote.

Education secretary Gillian Keegan spent the day on the campaign trail in the Crewe and Nantwich area in the run-up to next month’s general election.
The minister was helping Crewe and Nantwich Conservative candidate Ben Fletcher in his bid to retain the seat for the Tories.

Eight candidates will battle it out in the general election in a bid to become the next MP for Crewe and Nantwich.
Ben Fletcher is the new Conservative candidate and will be hoping the Tories can keep hold of the seat which has had a tendency to alternate between Labour and Conservative over the past few years.
Cheshire East Council is to stage a briefing session for all candidates standing for Crewe & Nantwich in July 4 General Election.
Candidates and their agents are invited to the session on May 31 in Macclesfield Town Hall.

As we head towards the second half of 2024, there are a variety of scenarios for the domestic political scene.
A general election has to take place before January 2025.
Crewe and Nantwich MP Dr Kieran Mullan is one of three vying to be candidate for the new Chester South and Eddisbury constituency, reports suggest.
Dr Mullan, Tory MP for Crewe and Nantwich since 2019, is believed to be challenging for what many regard as a safer Conservative seat.
Labour has selected Connor Naismith as its Parliamentary Candidate for the next General Election.
It follows a hustings and vote of local Labour Party members. Mr Naismith won a majority of votes cast
Eddisbury Tory MP Edward Timpson will not stand at the next General Election, he announced today.
Mr Timpson, former Crewe and Nantwich MP between 2008 and 2016, has written to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to explain his decision.
Crewe & Nantwich MP Kieran Mullan has announced he intends to stand again in the next general election, likely to be in 2024.
The Conservative MP, making the announcement on social media, had to confirm this month whether he intended to run again to represent the constituency where he has been MP since December 2019.
