Hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Crib Service held at St Mary’s Church Nantwich on Christmas Eve.
This re-telling of the Christmas story was performed by adults and young people at 2pm, 3.30pm and 5pm with each performance attracting up to 500 people.
Residents will gather outside St Mary’s Parish Rooms in Nantwich for the unveiling of the Tree of Light on November 3.
There will be a short service of prayer, hymns and poetry at the event from 5pm.

The annual Crib Service at St Mary’s Church Nantwich proved a hit with Christmas families in the town.
This re-telling of the Christmas story was performed by a mixture of adults, young people and children at 2pm, 3.30pm and 5pm on Christmas Eve.
Crowds gathered in front of St Mary’s Church in Nantwich for the switch on of the town’s Tree of Light, to remember loved ones.
The moving service was led by Rev Dr Mark Hart of St Mary’s Church.
A commemorative service was held at the Royal Air Force’s Memorial at Bridgemere to remember the crew of a Wellington bomber which crashed near to the village.
The commemoration took place exactly 74 years to the day the plane disintegrated over Bridgemere, crashing just off the A51 and killing six of the seven crew.
A Nantwich school is to stage its own Royal Wedding celebration – with their very own Harry and Meghan!
Pupils at Pear Tree Primary School in Stapeley are polishing their shoes, dusting down their best hats and choosing their smartest wedding attire in readiness for the wedding of the year.
The Revd Dr Mark Hart has been inducted as the Rector of Nantwich at St Mary’s Church.
The induction took place during a full service led by the Rt Revd Libby Lane, Bishop of Stockport.
Mark Hart has been appointed the new Rector of St Mary’s Church in Nantwich, it was announced today.
The appointment, subject to the legal requirements, was unveiled today on the St Mary’s Church website.
