Nantwich Partnership is hoping to carry out improvements to two visitor attractions in the town.

Hospice to stage Mill Island fundraising duck race in Nantwich
Mill Island and the River Weaver will turn yellow with the first hospice fundraising Nantwich Duck Race next month.

Acton organises ‘Holly Holy Day’ activities

Activities have been organised at St Mary’s Church in Acton on the annual ‘Holly Holy Day’ Battle of Nantwich on Saturday January 26.
The Church will be open from 9am until 11:30am serving hot drinks and buttered toast with the opportunity to go up the Church’s Tower.

Police have vowed to tackle drugs activity in an area of Nantwich after finding a 15-year-old girl in possession of cannabis.
Residents reported seeing teenagers selling and using drugs around the sandbank area in front of the riverside properties near Mill Island.

Every year, the town has remembered what happened on January 25, 1644 when the Parliamentarians defeated the Royalists in a battle in the Henhull area to end the siege of the town.
