Three workers at Peckforton Castle near Nantwich were commended at an awards night for their bravery during a massive blaze.
Daniel Naylor, Paul Heany and Simon Oxley were given a standing ovation at the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards.
They raised the alarm and helped to evacuate almost 100 wedding guests from the castle during the drama earlier this year.
And they did all that in the space of nine critical minutes, as over 100 fire personnel battled the inferno.
They received a Special Recognition Award during the event.
Chris Naylor, managing director and castle owner, said: “Daniel, Paul and Simon really did go beyond the call of duty that night and we will be forever grateful for their life-saving actions.
“Their bravery and integrity was undeniable and we are so proud to call them Peckforton Castle staff.
“The support received from our clients, visitors and staff has been nothing short of overwhelming. I thank them all for sticking by us.”
The venue also picked up an “Excellence in Business Tourism” award and was highly commended in the “Small Hotel of the Year” award.
It follows success at the national HBAA Awards where the castle picked up Conference Venue of the Year as well as shortlisted places at the recent Cheshire Business Awards, North West Entrepreneur Awards and Northern Design Awards.
