Organisers of a scheme to turn Nantwich blue for Dementia Action Week are seeking more volunteers to help.
The Creating Dementia Friendly Nantwich group are hoping to run the initiative during the Action Week on May 7-11.
As part of the week people living with dementia and their families will be invited to activities throughout the town and businesses have been invited to turn their window displays blue.
The week will be opened at 10am by the Mayor at Nantwich Civic Hall and he will walk around at 11am to judge the window displays.
A full programme of events will be available on the day.
The group was set up by volunteers from InSafeHands homecare, Richmond Village, Right at Home, Cheshire East, Soroptomist Nantwich & District, Nantwich churches.
A spokesperson said: “We are rapidly growing the group and offer free Dementia Friends training to local businesses and the general public.”
The group Thursday activity club meets 10-12pm at Nantwich Parish Rooms by St Mary’s Church.
It hosts various activities and people can pop in for a chat and a brew.
