Nantwich Pirates have clinched the Crewe Regional Sunday League Division One championship following their 3-1 away victory against Prince of Feathers.
It was the final match of the 2023/24 season and completed a successful period for the Pirates who won the Crewe & District FA Sunday Vase in April.
A Fun Day at RSPCA Stapeley Grange in Nantwich will mark the centre’s 30th birthday – and celebrate 200 years of the charity.

The annual Willaston World Worm Charming Championships will take place on Saturday June 22 at Willaston Primary Academy.
The World Worm Charming Championships began in 1980, and competitors have 30 minutes to charm and collect as many worms as possible from their 3×3 metre plot.
While not the leading cause of road accidents in the UK – that dubious honour goes to people speeding and not wearing seat belts – brake failure is a factor in some accidents.
According to statistics from the Department for Transport, there were 3,894 crashes between 2013 and 2019 wherein brake defects were a contributing factor.
