Cheshire East is deciding on a case by case basis if children in the council’s care should be given the Covid vaccine if birth parents do not consent.
Annemarie Parker, head of service for cared for children and care leavers, told a corporate parenting committee that the local authority sought consent from the parents of cared for children aged 12 to 15.

A crackdown on county lines gangs and improving confidence in policing were among the priorities unveiled in the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire’s new Police and Crime Plan.
