READER’S LETTER: Where are the poppies on lamp-posts?

Dear Editor
Have you noticed that in the Nantwich Town Council area there is not a poppy adorning any of the lamp-posts?

Other towns seem to have embraced the sense of Remembrance time, reminding us that the Poppy Appeal needs our support to continue the sterling work the RBL does in supporting the Armed Forces, past and present.

READER’S LETTER: What is this CEC administration hiding from?

Dear Editor,
Why is this Independent / Labour administration hiding from public scrutiny?

READER’S LETTER: Are CEC wasting council taxpayers’ money?

Dear Editor
Labour-run Cheshire East’s Energy Company has lost a whopping £151,000.

It is bad enough that local council taxpayers have recently been forced to pay large increases in the energy costs for their home… they also now have to bail out the council run Energy Company as well!

At the recent Cheshire East Council meeting (20/10/21), Cllr Quentin Abel presented a notice of motion asking that the Council pledge to join the UK100 Network.

No one can deny Cllr Abel’s commitment or sincerity in bringing this motion to Council and I applaud and support his ambition for a carbon neutral borough.
