Petition launched to stop travellers transit site at Cledford Hall

A petition has been launched calling on Cheshire East Council chiefs to ditch plans to open a transit site for gypsies and travellers at Cledford Hall.

Cllr Jonathan Parry, Labour Cheshire East Council member for Middlewich, launched the petition online on Tuesday – and it has had more than 100 signatures so far.

Smoking is becoming much less common across Cheshire East according to new Government figures – but the council insists it will not rest on its laurels.

Figures released by Public Health England show that in 2018, 8.7% of adults across the borough were smokers, compared to 16.4% in 2017.
