Parish council donates “thank you” bench to South Cheshire NHS workers

A South Cheshire parish council has added a splash of colour to Leighton Hospital entrance after donating a rainbow bench.

Minshull Vernon & District Parish Council commissioned the bench to be displayed as a way of saying “thank you” to local NHS staff and key workers for their work during the coronavirus pandemic.

The plans, which would have seen 40 homes built on land off Newcastle Road, were recommended for refusal by CEC planners.
