Wistaston Singers helped raise hundreds of pounds for local causes at a fund-raising concert in St Mary’s Church Hall, Wistaston.
Musical director Phil Houghton introduced each song and soloist, with Treona Holden the accompanist for the show.

The 35th South West Cheshire (Wistaston) Scout group hut at Bluebell Wood is set to close for the final time this weekend.
The hut on Elm Close will host its last visit day is Easter Saturday March 26, before it is demolished next month.

The annual ‘Holly Fair’ at Wells Green Methodist Church on Brookland Avenue in Wistaston raised more than £1,500.
In the entrance hall, there was a raffle to win a hamper of Fairtrade goods, a competition to win two knitted animals and crocheted items for sale made by 100-year-old church member Olwen Wood.

A guard of honour was organised by Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from the 35th South West Cheshire Scout group, who welcomed councillors from Cheshire East and Wistaston.

Eleven teams of four took part in six rounds of 10 questions at Wistaston Memorial Hall’s Annual Quiz for the Fred Lorimer trophy.
The quiz setters were Peter and Christina Wainwright who had organised their third quiz at the Hall on Church Lane in Wistaston.
