Police have stepped up patrols in Nantwich and other Cheshire East town centres to crackdown on possible spiking attempts and to help safeguard women and girls.
Superintendent Peter Crowcroft said there had been one confirmed spiking case in Cheshire, where a needle has been put into someone’s arm.
Nantwich Town have appointed Gordon McKinnon to the board as facilities director.
He will be to oversee all club facilities at Optimum Pay stadium, main pitch and the Applewood Independent 3G pitch.

The Christmas Tree Festival takes place on Saturday December 11 (10am-4:30pm) and Sunday December 12 (12-5pm).
Nantwich Food Festival volunteers braved the bitterly cold weather to run another successful “Drop-off and Go” collection in aid of Nantwich Foodbank.
