Stapeley Broad Lane C of E Primary, in Broad Lane, is one of the first schools in the area to use stand-alone devices which scan the temperature of each pupil, staff member and visitor as they enter the building.

Cheshire East councillors have voted to freeze their allowances until May 2021 – but still receive a basic allowance of more than £12,000 each.

The authority’s independent remuneration panel had recommended allowances, paid as compensation for time performing duties in their role, be increased.
