The headteacher of Malbank School in Nantwich said she is “disappointed” with the latest Ofsted report which says the school “requires improvement” overall.
Inspectors say the school on Welsh Row requires improvement in all categories, including leadership/management, quality of teaching, outcomes for pupils, and personal development/behaviour.
The 17th Century siege and Battle of Nantwich is remembered in an exhibition.
It opens in the Your Space Gallery in Nantwich Museum on Tuesday January 22.
The St Luke’s Hospice Christmas Tree Collection Service has raised a staggering £27,000.
In total, 2,652 Christmas trees were collected and recycled between January 10 and 13.

A Shavington dad is to tackle a 200-mile run from Nantwich to London and then race in the London Marathon to raise money for Children with Cancer UK charity.
Father-of-two Simon Benbow, 36, who himself has survived cancer, will set off on Monday April 22 from Nantwich to London over the space of five days.
Staff and pupils are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Wistaston Berkeley Primary School.
The school, now called The Berkeley Academy on Laidon Avenue, first opened on Monday January 6 1969.

South Cheshire fundraiser Roy Price is training hard for his latest fundraising event.
Roy, 51, is riding a bicycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) in May this year to raise money for cancer charity ‘The Joshua Tree’.
Workers from Nantwich firm Boughey Distribution have presented a cheque for £6,000 to Leighton Hospital’s Neonatal Unit.
Staff arranged fundraising activities throughout 2018 including more than 70 employees taking part in the Cholmondeley Castle Tough Mudder in September.
