Around 75 homes could be on the way for farm land off Broad Lane in Nantwich.
Nightingale Land is considering seeking planning permission for a residential development on a 3.82-hectare field bounded by agricultural land to the south and east, properties off Broad Lane to the north and Batherton Lane to the west.
With economic growth in Cheshire increasing significantly in the last few years, supply and demand for housing has become unbalanced.
While 76.87% of the required housing was built in 2022, Cheshire is becoming one of the fastest-growing economies and could further reduce the amount of available housing.
Members of Wistaston Allotments on Wistaston Green Road have welcomed the delivery of an unused sales cabin from a local housebuilder.

A Willaston councillor has welcomed new tree planting by local developers in the Nantwich village. Cheshire East Cllr Brian Silvester helped Kirk and James Shenton to plant the three trees alongside Wistaston Road.
