A plan is being considered to close Crewe Police Station near the Civic Centre and move all officers and staff to a new joint site at Crewe Fire Station.
Cheshire Fire Authority members are being encouraged to back the plan for a joint fire and police facility.
Fire chiefs in Cheshire say they can maintain improvements in public safety, despite facing £1 million funding cuts in 2016-17.
