Parish council waits FOUR years for Cheshire East answer on footpath

A parish council which offered to pay for improved safety measures on a much-used cycleway and footpath says it is still waiting for a response from Cheshire East four years later.

Leighton, Minshull Vernon and Woolstanwood Parish Council says it has been trying since 2019 to get safety warning signs installed on the path.

These cute otter cubs are undergoing specialist care at RSPCA Stapeley Grange in Nantwich after being orphaned when rivers overflowed in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.

One of the juvenile otters arrived at RSPCA Stapeley Grange along with her sibling last month after they were both rescued near the River Witham at Grantham in Lincolnshire.

A South Cheshire couple have applied to knock down their home and rebuild it higher up the garden because they can’t get help to prevent it from flooding a third time.

But Steve Blackie says Cheshire East Council is dragging its heels over the planning application and he fears his Church Minshull home could flood again.
