Reaseheath College equine students got down to the bare bones of the horse’s skeleton thanks to a pot of paint and a bit of expert help. Gillian Higgins, of ‘Horses Inside Out’, showed how the horse’s body dictates its movement by drawing bones, muscles and tendons in luminous, washable paint on chestnut mare Montana and showjumper Bing.
Ghosts and ghouls crept into floristry workshops at Reaseheath College when junior florists made spooky Halloween designs. Eleven students on a new floristry course made individual designs combining flowers and foliage, pumpkins and ghostly accessories.
Reaseheath College students were hailed as champions after playing a key role in the success of the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS). Thirty-six students and two staff from the Nantwich college provided the arena party for the HOYS – the most eagerly awaited event in the equestrian calendar.

Members of an Audlem group were among the first to take a tour around Reaseheath College’s new Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant. The plant was built at the Nantwich college to show the opportunities that exist with on-farm AD.
A fruity weekend will be on offer at Reaseheath College in Nantwich as part of a national celebration of the English apple. The free two-day festival on October 15-16 will feature rare varieties from all over the country, some dating back to Roman times.
Reaseheath College students and staff are joining in the Crewe Queens Park celebrations. The college is joining forces with Crewe and Nantwich Horticulture Society to present a local produce and activities show, including demonstrations.
