Thousands in Nantwich and Crewe attend Remembrance Sunday services

Thousands of people turned in across Crewe and Nantwich to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.

Parades and services were held in both Crewe and Nantwich town centres as families remembered those who have fallen in conflict over the last 100 years.

Audlem Firework Display went off with a bang as families flocked to the event from the surrounding areas.

Audlem Special Events Team estimate that more than 2,000 people attended the bonfire and award-winning Blitz Fireworks, to watch the choreographed display to popular music.

A man from Shavington near Nantwich has been charged alongside 11 others after a series of dawn raids across Cheshire.

Two other men and a woman from Crewe weere also among the 12 people who appeared in court today (November 7) charged with conspiracy to supply controlled drugs.

Former teacher, 71, jailed for sexually abusing boys in South Cheshire

A pensioner and former teacher who indecently assaulted boys at a school in South Cheshire in the 1970s, has been jailed.

Keith Cavendish-Coulson (pictured) pleaded guilty to 42 counts of indecent assault at Chester Crown Court and was today (November 6) sentenced to 6 years and 9 months.
