Scott Malton has been appointed as new director of nursing and quality at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
He will take up his Board position in September.

NHS charity funds high-tech X-ray machine at Leighton Hospital
A state-of-the-art “mini C-arm” X-ray machine has been funded by Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity which enables patients to receive faster treatment and frees up theatre slots for others.
The £52,000 machine improves the care and experience for people who attend the Emergency Department at Leighton Hospital with a suspected broken bone.
Hospice urges supporters to sign up to The Midnight Walk
St Luke’s Hospice are calling for more supporters to sign up for the ‘Midnight Walk’ fundraiser between Nantwich and Crewe on Saturday July 2.
The Midnight Walk is St Luke’s ‘flagship’ event in terms of fundraising, and the biggest singular event in support of patient care.

Cheshire East Council is considering paying people hundreds of pounds to quit smoking.
It could launch a pilot scheme which would see the general population offered up to £200 to quit and pregnant women offered £400.
