The number of Covid-19 patients in Cheshire’s hospitals continues to fall, according to the latest NHS England data.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Trust was caring for 44 coronavirus patients in Leighton Hospital as of Tuesday (March 9).

The Lighthouse Centre in Crewe will open its doors on Thursday evenings, inviting those in crisis or at risk of rough sleeping to receive a warm meal, shelter for the evening, access to the washing facilities and breakfast for the following day.

A seriously ill 22-year-old cat who had been missing from home for TWO decades has been reunited with her shocked owners after she was handed into the RSPCA!

Nantwich South and Stapeley Cllr Peter Groves asked a Cabinet meeting today (March 9) if CEC would bring in free parking in May, June, and July to boost the borough’s town centres.
