Lady Redmond will join the High Sheriff of Cheshire Jeannie France-Hayhurst today at the County Proclamation outside Chester Town Hall.

Cheshire East Council is updating the way it keeps track of section 106 financial contributions from developers and when the cash is allocated.

S106 agreements are legal agreements between the council and developers to secure financial or other contributions to mitigate the impact of development.

A memorial is to be held in honour of Crewe father and son Roger and Bradley Stockton who died during a TT Race on Isle of Man earlier this year.

RSPCA bosses in Nantwich are urging people to be on their guard after a swan was shot and killed on the River Weaver near Winsford.

The adult female bird was spotted on the river and taken to Stapele Grange wildlife centre where x-rays (pictured) confirmed she had been shot in the head by an air rifle.
