Cheshire College has launched new part-time courses for adults to upskill, retrain and futureproof their careers as the UK adapts to impact of Covid.

Courses based at the Crewe college include in business, construction, engineering, catering, fitness and health & beauty.

One of the bosses of Cheshire College has completed a mammoth cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back in aid of charity.

Mark Parsons, Assistant Principal of Curriculum, took just 18 days and has raised more than £7,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

New Nantwich free primary school plans move step closer

Plans for a new primary school in Nantwich moved a step closer when councillors agreed to go out to consultation over the proposals and look for potential sponsors to run it.

As revealed by Nantwich News, the £3.5m free school is earmarked for land close to Nantwich Town’s Weaver Stadium and is needed to cope with rising pupils numbers created by a new housing development.

A proposal for a new “free” primary school in Nantwich has been unveiled by Cheshire East Council.

The school would be built as part of the new Kingsbourne housing development near Nantwich Town’s stadium between Waterlode, the A51 at Reaseheath, and River Weaver.
