A parish council which offered to pay for improved safety measures on a much-used cycleway and footpath says it is still waiting for a response from Cheshire East four years later.
Leighton, Minshull Vernon and Woolstanwood Parish Council says it has been trying since 2019 to get safety warning signs installed on the path.
Nantwich Town Council is proposing to raise its portion of Council Tax by 8% in 2025-26.

Motorists are being warned to be aware of controversial changes to car parks in Cheshire East which go live from Monday December 2.

Cheshire East desperately needs to avoid a S114 notice bankruptcy because if government officials run the council residents’ interests come second to balancing books, councillors said.

Drivers are paying to use a Nantwich car park when they don’t have to because of confusion over official signs.
Official signs on Snow Hill car park say charges apply until 6pm. But an old laminated A4 sheet higher up says it’s “free after three”.
