More than £2,500 was raised at the 65th Cancer Research UK ‘Xmas Fair’ at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
The event is organised annually by the Crewe & Nantwich Cancer Research UK Group.

Scout archive exhibition takes place in Wistaston

An exhibition of items from South West Cheshire Scouts District’s archive was held by Wistaston Scout Group’s new Scout Centre
A comprehensive range of displays contained items dating back to 1908 and included books, photographs, certificates, flags, memorabilia from several World Jamborees and Crewe Scout Gang Shows, old Scout uniforms and a great many press cuttings as well as other items of historic interest.
New crossing set for Peter De Stapleigh Way, say councillors

Two large, hinged glass doors at the west entrance to St Mary’s Church in Acton were officially opened and blessed by Rev’d Canon John Malbon.
In his speech, prior to cutting a ribbon to officially open the new doors, Rev’d Canon John Malbon said that solid doors present a physical barrier to communication, they say ‘Keep out’.

Brainy Shavington Academy pupils beat more than 265 other schools to win a prestigious national prize.
Hundreds of students took part in a maths competition by learning platform Eedi.

The funeral for Rev Ken Sambrook who died recently will take place on Monday November 29.
It will take place at 11:30am at St Mary’s Church in Wistaston.

Detectives investigating the death of a man in Audlem have released a CCTV image to establish the movements.
Andrew Guy died following an alleged assault at an address on Stafford Street, Audlem.
Villages team up to run Community Remembrance Garden in November
Villagers in Shavington and Weston have teamed up to show community spirit in a Community Remembrance Garden project.
More than a 1,000 people have been involved in putting together two gardens outside St Mark’s Church, Shavington and All Saints’ Church, Weston.

Villagers in Wistaston and Willaston are mourning the death of popular Revd Ken Sambrook.
Ken passed away on Wednesday (November 10) after a brief spell in hospital.
Nantwich among 5 Cheshire East parishes in local heritage project
Nantwich and Audlem are among five places chosen as part of a local heritage project run by Cheshire East Council.
The idea of the project is to update its list of historic landmarks and places in the borough.
