Villagers baffled after toilet dumped at Nantwich road junction

Villagers near Nantwich have been left scratching their heads over a toilet left at a road junction – dressed in mistletoe, tinsel and Christmas lights!

The loo, dubbed the ‘Swanley crapper’ by locals, turned up at the junction of Swanley Lane and Tally Ho Lane, between Burland and Acton.

There was a grand opening with a guest appearance from Father Christmas, a ‘Candlelit Concert of Christmas Past’ by the Gallery Singers of Shrewsbury and an open event with prize raffle and light refreshments.

The Wistaston Singers were in fine voice when they performed at a Christmas Carol concert at St Stephen’s Methodist Church in Crewe.

Phil Houghton was musical director and organist and also introduced each carol and soloist. Jane Hale was the accompanist.

Scott, aged 16, went missing from his home in Wistaston on Monday November 28.
