More than 90% of 999 calls are now being answered by Cheshire Police within 10 seconds compared to 76% this time last year.
And 90% of all grade one incidents in October, November and December were attended within the target time of 15 minutes, police commissioner John Dwyer said.
Town set to enjoy “Battle of Nantwich” re-enactment 2023

The town is preparing to host the ‘Battle of Nantwich’ in and around Nantwich town centre and Mill Island on Saturday January 21.
This year is the 50th anniversary of the first Battle of Nantwich re-enactment.

The walks are at a relaxed pace and routes mainly involve canal towpath and lane walking but may involve stiles.
Tributes paid to CEC councillor who died after holiday heart attack

The funeral of Cheshire East councillor Steve Carter who died after a heart attack on holiday, will take place later this month.
Cllr Carter died on December 29 at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport. He was 59.
More than 200 arrested in Crewe and Nantwich over Christmas
More than 1,790 people were arrested during Cheshire Police’s Christmas operation, including more than 200 in the Crewe and Nantwich area.
The force has issued its latest figures which show a rise of 23% in arrests compared to the previous year.
