A fund-raising ‘Charity Weekender’ Northern Soul music and dance event in Nantwich has helped raise thousands for charity.
The weekender, held at Nantwich Town’s stadium, featured DJs from the local area and beyond.
Community groups in Nantwich can apply for a slice of £100,000 available under Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer’s Community Action Fund.
The money is aimed at projects across Cheshire that help prevent and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
Nantwich railway station is to have a life-saving defibrillator installed as part of a scheme by Transport for Wales.

Hundreds of scooter owners flocked to Nantwich for a get-together organised by Dabbers Scooter Club.
The 14th annual ‘Smell The 2 Stroke’ event took place at The Railway Hotel on Pillory Street in Nantwich on Sunday (September 4).
Dave Cooke is leaving his role as first team manager at Nantwich Town, the club confirmed tonight.
In a statement, the club said the decision has been made “mutually by both parties” for the longer-term future of the club.
