Nantwich Food Festival 2019 to be held August 30-Sept 1

The dates for the 2019 Nantwich Food Festival have been confirmed and will be held on August 30, 31 and September 1.

The 2018 festival included new venues and more visitors than ever before.

Nantwich based Hibberts Solicitors raise £28,000 in 10km Tatton Park event

A team from Nantwich based Hibberts Solicitors have raised £28,000 for four charities after completing the Tatton Mule Yomp.

The team – Chris Boundy, Carolyn Brooksbank, Camille Renaudon, Michael Ward, Anne Walley, Karen Tomlinson and Karen Witter – were among 1,500 people taking part last month.

Nantwich Town maintain promotion push with hard-earned victory in Matlock

Joe Malkin’s sixth league of the season was the difference as Nantwich Town recorded a hard fought 1-0 win over Matlock Town in Derbyshire.

Malkin pounced in the six-yard box after Joe Mwasile was tripped following a fine driving run, with referee Ian Johnston happy to give the visitors the advantage allowing the striker to fire home.

Fire crews attend two collisions in Wardle and Faddiley near Nantwich

Occupants walked away unhurt after a vehicle crashed off the A51 Nantwich Road in Wardle.

The incident happened shortly after 3am yesterday (January 26) and was attended by fire crews from Nantwich and Tarporley.

Councillor says £152,000 anti-bullying consultancy scheme at Cheshire East IS helping

A senior councillor has moved to reassure Cheshire East Council’s opposition leader that a costly workplace culture scheme is tackling bullying at the local authority.

Cheshire East Council paid consultancy firm Sticky Change £152,460 to help it work on a ‘brighter future together’ programme during 2018-19 – a scheme designed to improve the local authority’s workplace culture.

A cheese firm near Nantwich has secured a £400,000 grant towards its £1.5 million expansion plan to create new jobs.

JS Bailey Cheese, based in Calveley, says the project will help create 15 new jobs and build new production facilities.
