A newly formed charity football team in Crewe is raising money for Campaign Against Living Miserably and for other local charities.
Calm 84 FC Crewe will raise awareness and much needed funds for CALM, a leading a movement against suicide, as every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives and 75% of all UK suicides are male.
Teams from HS2 Ltd will be staging community information events for residents keen to find out more about the high speed rail project and its impact on South Cheshire.
Three events will be held in the region during June and July 2018 as part of a wider engagement programme along the planned route between the West Midlands and Leeds, and Crewe and Manchester.
Nantwich Town and Crewe Alex have postponed their home football games scheduled to take place tomorrow (January 19). Heavy snow forced both clubs into making early decisions with no sign of a let up in snow and freezing temperatures forecast overnight.
