Most schools across Nantwich will be closed tomorrow (November 30) along with public venues like Nantwich Baths as part of national strike action. All major teaching unions, including the headteacher’s NAHT, are involved in the strike which leaves thousands of youngsters in South Cheshire at home for the day.
Nantwich Town Council has agreed to take on the town’s Civic Centre and indoor and outdoor markets from April 2012. Town councillors also voted to take charge of public toilets in the market, on Barony Park and Snow Hill car park.
Acton Nomads 1sts will be looking to build on their impressive 26-5 defeat of Northwich when they travel to Trafford this weekend. The Nomads proved too strong for their visitors and amassed a 21-5 lead by half time with tries from Mark Partridge and Jonny Brereton.
