The Nantwich Christmas Lights Switch-On is set to take place on Friday November 18, council bosses have confirmed.

But I also really enjoy the over-the-top Christmas lights and decorations – including the occasional inflatable decoration and light show – that some local residents setup each year.

At their recent meeting, I criticised the Labour run Crewe Town Council for not allowing the people of Crewe to attend the official switch on of the Xmas Lights.
Usually this is a big event, which marks the beginning of the Xmas celebrations, with entertainment and street stalls etc.
These novelty Christmas jumpers are helping raise vital funds for Wingate Children’s Centre in Wrenbury.
The Wingate Special Children’s Trust teamed up with Koala Pups to create two festive jumper designs that celebrate both Christmas and the charity.

Small Town Big Screen is bringing an inflatable screen to the Crewe Alexandra Stadium for their Christmas drive-in cinema this December.
As part of their north west Christmas tour, which includes towns like Morecambe, Fleetwood, Knutsford and Runcorn, it will be returning to Crewe from Monday December 20 until Wednesday December 22.
