Crewe Town councillors have hit back in a row with their Nantwich rivals over a set of Christmas lights. They have called for them to be returned so they can be used in Crewe town centre, despite Cheshire East Council donating them to Nantwich.
Councillors in Nantwich and Crewe are locked in a mid-summer wrangle – over a set of Christmas Lights! Nantwich Town Council says it now owns the lights, which were apparently offered as a gift by Cheshire East Council.
CCTV coverage in Nantwich has been given a major boost after a new agreement between police and council chiefs. A partnership review examining use of the 15 CCTV cameras in the town was carried out by Nantwich Police, Cheshire East Council and Nantwich Town Council.
