Olympic star Bryony Page helps Wingate Centre celebrate 30th birthday

Nantwich’s Olympic silver medallist Bryony Page helped the Wingate Centre to celebrate their 30th birthday in style.

Bryony, one of the centre’s Vice Presidents, hosted their 30th Birthday Sponsored Bounce which saw more than 40 people taking to the trampolines and bouncing over 27,000 times.

Olympic star Bryony Page will be helping the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury near Nantwich celebrate its 30th birthday.

Bryony, the centre’s Vice President and Olympic Silver Medallist in Rio, trained at the centre’s mainstream trampoline classes.

The former Brine Leas and Malbank Sixth Form student grew up in Wrenbury and used the Wingate Centre to start her trampolining career.

Olympic trampoline medallist Bryony Page will be back in Nantwich next month – to help the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury stage a fund-raising Bounce-a-thon!

The silver medal winner from Rio will be at the centre on March 19 for its 25th anniversary of the opening of the gymnasium.

Thousands of people enjoyed the Nantwich Christmas Lights switch-on which lit up the town square last night (November 19).

Families young and old enjoyed live music and song, fair rides, refreshments and a firework display during the event.
