Hidden Treasures exhibition opens at Nantwich Museum

‘Hidden Treasures,’ an exhibition of art by local artist Sally Huntington, has opened in the Your Space Gallery at Nantwich Museum.

It features paintings of Cheshire and particularly Nantwich scenes in unique style inspired by old buildings, history and atmosphere.

Nantwich Museum to stage children’s workshops and Plant and Book Sale

A Plant and Book Sale organised by Nantwich Museum Trust will take place at the museum in Pillory Street on May 28.

The sale, which will include a wide selection of keenly priced plants and books, will run between 10am and 12.30pm in aid of museum funds.

A Roman coin hoard dating from the second century and found in Acton by a metal detectorist, has been acquired by Nantwich Museum.

The hoard includes five silver denarii (equal to ten asses) deposited in a distinctive lead cone-shaped container.
