The 23rd Annual Community Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race took place at the Joey the Swan Recreation ground, with guests of honour the Rose Queen Poppy Bellingham and her Consort.

The strategy, to be discussed by the authority’s environment and regeneration overview and scrutiny committee tomorrow (September 17), comes after a damning report in 2017 said air quality figures had been “deliberately manipulated”.

A South Cheshire man is heading off on a six-day hike up the highest mountain in Africa in memory of his late wife who died of cancer.

Roy Price, 51, from Crewe, is embarking on the challenge to scale Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Macmillan Chemotherapy Suite at Leighton Hospital.
