READER’S LETTER: Cheshire East staff “deserve to be appreciated”

Dear Editor,

Questions were raised at last week’s Audit and Governance meeting about how inclusive the 3 day’s Health and Welfare leave granted to Cheshire East’s staff, in acknowledgment of the pressure of work they have coped with during the Covid period, has been.

READER’S LETTER: No improvement over Wistaston pedestrian safety fears

Dear Editor,
In January 2021 and December and August 2020, I wrote a letter to Nantwich News raising my concerns for the safety of pedestrians on the busy Wistaston Green Road in Wistaston, due to the obstructions and narrowing of the path and its degraded road surface adjacent to the Bellway ‘Kingfisher Reach’ housing development construction site.

READER’S LETTER: Wrenbury teacher “ray of light” during Covid gloom

Dear Editor,
I live in Wrenbury and run a travel company – irrelevant to this email in some respects, but also not based on the fact that my industry and many others are in a terrible situation and many people in general are battling, life is tough and all doom and gloom in the news.

READER’S LETTER: No justification for Cheshire East Council Tax rises

READER’S LETTER: No justification for Cheshire East Council Tax rises

Dear Editor,
There is no justification for Council tax increases this year.

But despite that, Crewe residents will have to pay an increased Council Tax to no less than all the four authorities they are obliged in law to pay…..and in most cases the increases are many times over the rate of inflation.

READER’S LETTER: Open letter from Covid-19 survivor from Wistaston

READER’S LETTER: Open letter from Covid-19 survivor from Wistaston

Dear Editor,
I am clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) after having my spleen removed in 2002, so I’m at a massively increased risk of infection.

In February last year I had to give up my job as a supply teacher and “shield”, which has meant that for over 12 months I have severed my outside contact.

Dear Editor,
At this week’s Cheshire East Full Council meeting I asked, once again, if the Labour/Independent Cabinet had made up its mind regarding its proposal to axe winter gritting from some of our semi-rural and rural roads.
