In response to Cllr Sam Corcoran’s claim that Cheshire East is in the top 10% of the 314 English Councils for payments of grants made to small businesses*, I feel that it is my duty to point out that this is not the case, at least not in any meaningful sense.

I live on a main road in Nantwich and I have stood in my window and watched the amount of cars and pedestrians going past each day.

I saw the fabulous ‘Captain Tom’ painting on slate by talented artist Tony Denton on display at Nantwich town square by the War Memorial for the first-time today.
The painting was reinstated to its original location following pressure from your readership.
The closure of gym and exercise centres in Cheshire and cross almost every country has dramatically affected the industry.
During this challenging time, proper distancing is crucial, but it can be mentally tiring, and we all need to have some mood-boosting exercises.
For some people, attending university is almost a rite of passage.
It may be that you are expected to attend and if you didn’t, you’d be the only one in a long line of your ancestors not to.
If you usually toss and turn throughout the night or wake up feeling sore and tired, it might be time to consider getting a new and better mattress.
Having a good night’s sleep is vital for good health – even more so in current times.
As we enter this period of unprecedented limitations on our working and personal lives I felt as the Mayor of Nantwich I should address residents.
Not usually a person who would stay at home, I have been following Government advice and believe we should all be adhering.
