More than 1,000 women braved the floods to take part in the St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice 2012 Midnight Walk from Crewe to Nantwich. The 13-mile stroll should raise thousands of pounds for the hospice which helps hundreds of people across South Cheshire.

A Diamond Jubilee Variety Concert will take place tomorrow (June 2) in Wistaston Memorial Hall, Church Lane, Wistaston. The concert features a host of performers including The Grove Singers, Jack Gresty and his trumpet, and a monologue by Tim Lloyd.
A concert by South Cheshire George Formby Ukulele Society in Nantwich helped to raise more than £250 for Help For Heroes. The money was raised when the Ukulele Society performed a concert in the Nantwich Civic Hall during last month’s Nantwich Jazz Blues and Music Festival.
